The new 24/7 Emergency Claim card is being mailed to all SASCU Insurance clients with their renewal documents and will come attached to each new policy. Gift Vehicles and the Tax on Designated Property

Starting May 1, 2011, if you give your car to someone as a gift, you need to complete a new gift letter form. The “Gift of Designated Property” form (FIN319) replaces gift letters and is available by clicking here, visiting us at SASCU Insurance for a paper copy or going to the Service BC web site.

This form must be completed and signed by the person giving the car and by the person receiving the car. You then bring the form to SASCU Insurance when you purchase your Autoplan insurance. By completing the “Gift of Designated Property” form, you are eligible for exemption from the TDP (tax on designated property).
